===== Capturing Competition ===== {{:20250212_002415.jpg|}} This inner feeling of queerness has always been there, not just something I might encounter, in some possible future. I'm interested in how the tensions between felt sensations, wide eyed looking and ways I've felt kept and eye on and talked about as I was growing up. How deeply but secretly I’ve felt concerned and suspicious eyes on me throughout my life. The split I’ve experienced in myself is part of the gender and sexuality conflicts, splits and exclusions in working class northern culture at the time. I want to capture some of the dynamics of this by bringing competition into the activities I’m using to compose the artwork. Have teams representing different parts of our selves compete to dominate the spaces between characters in the scene. Capture everything but the people and objects using mocap, Sounds, 3D scans of parts of objects and scenery. * Pushing giant beanbags, medicine balls into different parts of a space while keeping them in the air * Playing with toys, army, transformers etc * Miming force fields and energies between bodies * Football training drills around possession and pressing * Playing army with miniature toy figures and tanks flying, driving around full scale human figures in the scene, shooting, scouting info, sending info back to base, building and attacking representations of parts of the scene. * Psychic feeling energy - miming games
