===== Media Ether =====

I'm beginning to feel more and more the need to believe in some kind of ether! A substrate of emotional energy and collective memory between people and the media they have consumed.

The idea of the thoughts being on another plane to our material life is gone for me.

I'm looking for some kind of substrate, to reveal the traces of thoughts, that form as our desires meet the resistance of the real or imagined spaces, people and situations they emerge from. I picture a memory I have of a close up on an analogue crt telly, the guy out of Erasure’s face as he’s belting out pure gay energy on TOTP. It’s form is distorted by the jokey disgust of my mates. Gone is the idea of thoughts as being on another plane to life, abstracted from physical experience is gone, drumming is thinking, chatting over coffee is thinking, carrying Leo is thinking.
